Does anyone know anything about this local letterboxer?
They went after a number of my boxes yesterday with mixed
results. I don't think they use AQ, and I find trying to conact
anyone through letterboxing.org difficult.
Thanks

I have found several of her boxes in the past and they are all store bought stamps. I have
never gotten a response from my "find" postings on LbNA. I got several notices of her finds
recently also but I noticed that the dates were much older, so maybe she's just catching up. I
usually send people who plant in Northern California an invitation to join the group if they
don't find it on their own. I don't specifically remember if I sent her one or not, but I'm fairly
certain she is not a member here.

Okay, maybe I'm missing something, but is there a reliable way of contacting
a letterboxer through letterboxing.org? I suppose I could pretend to have
found a box and use the contact the placeer feature, but I never, ever get
replies from that, so I don't actually believe that it does anything...
This sounds crabbier than I meant it to....sorry y'all.

We get "Contact the Placer" notes quite frequently. I'm not sure
that a placer can turn this function off. I know they can turn off
receiving the 'Found" or "attempted" feature(Flag function).
The 'Contact the Placer" feature doesn't indicate that the letterbox
has been found, it only directs a note via the LbNA system. If their
address isn't current at LbNA then it obviously won't go through.
Sometimes if the placer is not used to answering the C the P notes
they will hit their 'reply' button to answer and that only will send
the note back to LbNA and not to the sender. I know when we first
started using that function several of our replies went into a black
hole as we just hit the reply button.
